For 9 months of the year we are rehearsing for our productions. If you would like to be kept abreast of what we are doing, dates of the next show and some sneak previews of what will see at the show please subscribe to our News Update.
Oundle Gilbert and Sullivan Players was formed in 1958. Our first show was 'The Pirates of Penzance' performed in 1959 and we have been entertaining audiences every year since. For some entertaining pictures from past shows, please visit our picture gallery.
We produce two shows a year. Our main production is in February/March when we perform one of the many famous Gilbert & Sullivan operettas.
Our second is a Summer concert in June when we perform a variety of songs loosely based around a theme (The 2015 theme was numbers, the title Notable Numbers). The songs range from pop, jazz and humorous songs to songs from musicals, with no G & S songs at all.
We rehearse once a week on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and provide a warm welcome to all. Rehearsals for the main show start late August / early September. Rehearsals for the Summer concert start immediately after the Spring show, usually in March.
If you are interested in amateur dramatics and want to get involved, new members are always welcomed. We are a friendly society and encourage participation either on stage, or behind the scenes in the production team, or front of house welcoming the public during a show. If you are interested please take a look at this page.
