NEWSLETTER – SUMMER 2011
I hope you had a good holiday and feel refreshed and ready to start singing once again. As you know we will be performing THE SORCERER this season. David Milsted will be our Musical Director and Gill Potts our Producer.
“THE SORCERER” WILL TAKE PLACE FROM MONDAY 27 February to SATURDAY 3 March 2012.
First Rehearsal
The first rehearsal will be held on Wednesday 31 August 2011 at 7.00 for 7.30pm at the Rehearsal Room Laxton Junior School. The rehearsal will start with the usual glass of wine/cheese and biscuits etc, following which there will be a hearty sing through of The Sorcerer If you are bringing along new members please let Bobbie know (01832 280049) so we can be sure we have enough refreshments.

If you have not yet donated your Summer Concert sheet music to the Players and wish to do so, please bring it with you.
Auditions for The Sorcerer
The Audition pieces are attached. They are also available on our web-site (www.oundlegands.org) If you would like a sing-through of any audition piece please contact Gill on (01832 275933) The principal auditions will be held on Sunday 25th September 2011.
Summer Concert 2011
Congratulations to all who took part in the Concert. There has been some very good feed-back from members of the public.
Summer Concert 2012
Planning for next year’s summer concert will soon need to start and if you have any ideas, or would like to be involved, please let me know. The 2012 Summer Concert will be held on 23rd and 24th June.

Tues 27 Sept to Sat 1 Oct. Stamford G & S are performing The Sorcerer at the Corn Exchange in Stamford. Tickets can be obtained directly from Mrs R Parisson on 01778 422609 or from the Corn Exchange Box Office on 01780 766455.
Wed 14 to Sat 17 September Peterborough G & S are performing Ruddigore at the Key Theatre Peterborough. Tickets available from the Box Office 01733 207239
11 December(provisionally) Christmas Dinner – venue to be decided. More details to follow
